With Razzle Dazzle Designs, I have been able to combine my love of jewelry and design
with something I learned to do as a child – braiding skate key lanyards for my roller
skates! These seemingly unrelated hobbies led to what, for me, is a perfect business -
- designing and braiding beaded kangaroo leather products. An added bonus is that the
beautiful leather is so much easier to work with than the plastic lacing in those skate key
lanyards!
The design phase of finding just the right beads for each color combination is the part
I enjoy the most, and much care is taken to insure that each item is appealing and
beautifully coordinated. I constantly search for unique beads, and am currently speaking
with several bead designers about creating beads exclusively for Razzle Dazzle.
I want to make my products as useful as they are beautiful, so each item used for dogs
has an inner core equal to a 300 lb. line for strength and security. Although thin and
incredibly lightweight, these lines are 15 times stronger than steel. In addition, each bead
cluster has a knot at either end which will keep the beads in place, even as the leather
stretches a bit with time.
